Ladino Makes a Comeback
Просмотров 72Месяц назад
Segun el tiempo, se abolta la vela. That’s a Ladino saying that means, “According to the weather, shift your sail.” And it's an apt way of describing Ladino's recent comeback. Ladino-or Judeo-Spanish-the language spoken by Sephardic Jews in Turkey, Greece and North Africa, saw a major decline after the Holocaust destroyed communities of native speakers. But like a sailboat shifting course when ...

You are not Jewish. Get off the back of true Jews in Manhattan and look for another job. Stop pretending to be a rabbi...you are a charlatan, crook, and a piece of shit. P E R I O D
Bro what?

The actual talk about the history starts at 18:00
That's an incredible journey to be on. I enjoy participating in Shabbat every week by watching Central Synagogue each Friday. Angela and her fellow Cantors etc are beautiful people
So talented!! Such a lovely voice! ❤
What I think is that she is a hypocrite
I feel sad that her books aren't available anymore. Her book on learning memory in 10 lessons is very well written. That said, unsure if i fully improved or not but its still helpful
My son and daughter knew of a wonderful Jewish family and this lady was absolutely beautiful when we had an opportunity to share in a Jewish celebration and we are Muslim but she transcended every single religion.
Why do women moan during sex?
There is no Judaism - a Jew is from the tribe of Judah and there are no Jews today - today there are only Israel and Khazar eshkenazi are not Israel ,there is the religion of Abraham - the reliogion of peace and in Arabic Islam .You canot convert to be Israel - only by merige - paying a Rabi money and studing the Torah dosnt makes you Israel .
Sephardic and Mizrahi Jews?
@@gabrielleangelica1977 the Jews (tribe of Judah ) came from yemen and got mixed with the tribes of Israel (spharadic and mizrachi - are the same ) - the Mshiach wil be a yemenite jew
Shes on drugs...
Thanks for sharing this.
God is everything 🙏 including you 🙏 ❤
❤ 💯 agree with you ❤
Wow, that's terrible. I'm sure the Jewish people will be sad about that.
Middle class.
"I only teach Torah to Jews and you are not a Jew..." What kind of statement is this?
Free Palestine 🇵🇸

Love jews. Detest Holocaust. Love this woman. But, hate Israel's colonization of Palestine. This is an opportunity for the jews of the world to win the love of non-western peoples of the world, a vast majority of them feel the way I do. And, it's not going to change unless you give fair treatment to the owners of the land.
You are not a Jew how many children of yours died in concentration camps KKK Arab Palestinians murderers criminals killers 0:19
Miss, Asians are NOT Jewish to begin with. Wake up, smell the coffee, get a reality check.
Jews are always jews even if they convert.
we dont need pepole like you
Islam will welcome you sister even if you are Korean Islam welcomes all god bless
Islam is not welcoming. Islam takes away women's rights to education and to think and dress freely. Islam condones paedophilia, rape, abduction of non-Muslim girls, cuts people's heads and hands off, kills gay people, polygamy, celebrates Oct 7, '23 genocidal attack, uses it's civilians as human shields, teaches children to hate and kill Jews and Christians. What is welcoming about Islam? It's an abusive death cult. Turn to the God of Israel - He alone is good He welcomes people as sons and daughters. Allah only wants slaves and martyrs and violence.
It’s strange she is a Jew. So she becomes Semitic overnight?

lol why anyone in this world wanna be Jewish or Muslim or Christian if just be human being just be good be honest
Jews lying the Cristian for 2000 year. Who killed Jesus? Jewish People!
I'm so confused, I thought she meant "Aliyah" as in ascending and immigrating to the land of Israel and becoming an Israeli citizen. When I realized she was talking about reading from the Torah I felt very alienated as if she was talking of another religion or cult I was not aware existed as here in Israel we are by a large majority Orthodox even if we're secular and a woman reading from the Torah in front of everyone is something that I've never seen in my life even having gone to probably close to a hundred different synagogues and is something that is to me extremely bizarre and eerie. Sorry I don't mean to belittle your experience or story, I'm glad you feel connected. Just sharing my perspective if it interests anyone.
In the US I don't remember the last time I saw a male Rabbi in a marriage ceremony outside the Orthodox Ceremonies. Other than Orthodox there are more female Rabbis today. I grew up Conservative and never saw a Female Rabbi until about 1990!
@@bftime1 I just came back from a wedding in Jerusalem. So you're saying female Rabbis (this doesn't exist here) do the marriages there?
The only thing that you are is a homo sapiens. All the rest is human fantasy that usually ends up with lots of people dying horribly.
She cant be a Rabbi so she is actually not a Jewish.
As a proud Jew, I'm sometimes appalled by what some other jews do! This is a beautiful woman with beautiful Jewish soul
When will Arabs also be protected, do to antisemitism by zionists 😢
Christian’s are Jews who have accepted Jesus Christ as the fulfilment of Judaism . The Old Testament Jews refuse to recognise this.
Its crazy that they think only Europeans can be Jews. And there were no European Jews 2,000 years ago in Africa or the middle East.
Followers of Judaism are not required to be from the semitic people knows as Israelites or Hebrews. Judaism is a religion. Just as Christians do not have to have DNA free of semitic ancestry. Or Muslims having to possess DNA of one of the four Arabian populations. Religious beliefs and practices are just that...beliefs and practices. The Jewish populations that have the genetic traits of the Levant peoples are those with ancestry originating in the Middle East, where as the Ashkenazi Jews, have more genetically in common with the southern areas of Europe. That isn't to say the Ashkenazi Jews aren't Jewish, but they are less and some even not related to the peoples from ancient Middle Eastern civilizations. That is all...just biological markers that point to where their ancestors first territory of residence. The religious beliefs are the same. And while on this area of discussion, I am also compelled to say ZIONISM is a political ideology...not a religious sect of Judaism. And actually to refer to someone as a devout Zionist Jew is rather like saying a devout ProChoice Catholic.. not meaning an offense to any religion...that was the most oppositional label I could think of on the fly.. A devout Catholic would not be in favor of a political ideology supporting pregnancy termination....just as a devout follower of Judaism would support theft of land and genocide and murder of the people that own it. In fact before ZIONISM was even an idea, Muslims, Christians, and Jewish people all loved peacefully in the same territory where now no peace has been present for over 50 years. That makes it relatively clear the issue isn't Islamic vs Jewish vs Christian ....but all three verses ZIONISM and the resistance that further developed to terrorist groups aimed at stopping the ZIONISM use of violence and nationalism (turned to what many call Israel a Terrorist Nation for the extreme brutality of its militant acts) to achieve its goals. So remember, Zionist and Jewish are not identical. Like radical extremist doesn't describe every Muslim, nor does extreme right wing describe every Christian. Evil people exist everywhere and practice every religion..
I just happen to have the opinion after studying decades...centuries... of history, that modern day Israel is under Zionist rule in their government, and that Zionism IS NOT in line with the tenants Judaism stresses as fundamental to its core beliefs.
You came very close to understanding the difference between the spirit and the flesh.
I'm glad she stayed the course.
You are part of the Zionist propaganda campaign snd are in favour off the ethics cleaning of Palestine that makes you gulty of the genocide carried out in your name
Once again, the children and angels of Gaza defeated the criminal IDF soldiers and the evil supporters. Remember 1948 Deir Yassin massacre = Palestinian Auschwitz committed by the survivors of the holocaust. Boycott apartheid genocidal Israel.
Asians aren't Jewish !! ... DUH !!
Wishy washy loser...
Why worship and idolize Judah versus worshipping Almighty God, anyway??
Jews are Khazarians
